• Simbarashe Mhungu

    Simba is the Founder and Managing Director of Harvest Fresh Africa. Prior to forming Harvest Fresh in 2011, Simba worked with small and large scale sugar cane farmers helping them develop projects across the entire bio-energy supply chain, from the production of sugarcane and tropical sugar beet, to the development of sugar mills, cogeneration power plants and distilleries. Simba has also worked at Goldman Sachs in New York, where he was responsible for managing 12 Hedge Fund relationships with assets under management of $2 billion. He also helped structure several private equity transactions in Southern Africa. Simba received his undergraduate business degree from Howard University, Washington, D.C.

  • Elias Chikoto

    Elias is a Director of Harvest Fresh Africa. An accomplished agro consultant, Elias worked for Syngenta as the Strategy and Planning Manager for Africa and the Middle East. Prior to joining Syngenta he worked for Gemini Consulting as a senior consultant, having started out as a management consultant with PwC Consulting after graduating from business school.  In his role as a consultant Elias was exposed to a wide range of industries and led strategy and operations-efficiency based projects for global companies. Elias holds a BSc in Agriculture from the University of Zimbabwe and an MBA from Wits Business School in South Africa.

  • Walter Schwabe

    Walter Schwäbe is a Director of Projects at Harvest Fresh. A German national, Walter has set up food processing facilities in several European countries, South America, South East Asia and Southern Africa. Walter is an accomplished engineer and food technologist with over 30 years’ experience in the food processing.

  • Kennedy Mhakayakora

    Kennedy is the General Manager of Harvest Fresh factory operations. Kennedy has over 14 years’ experience in the food processing industry having worked for Innscor Africa, Nestle Zimbabwe and Dariboard Zimbabwe. Kennedy holds a BSc in Biochemistry from Zimbabwe’s National University of Science and Technology (NUST).
